Explore the 25 Fountains Levada Walk in Rabaçal
Rabaçal is a unique and magical place, full of waterfalls and fountains. The 25 Fountains levada walk is the most famous in Madeira! Cabo Girão is known to be the highest sea cliff in Europe.
Going west to Rabaçal, a unique and magical place in Calheta, we start a 3-hour walk (approximately) through an evergreen forest, providing great landscapes and wonderful sensations. On this hike, we have the opportunity to admire beautiful waterfalls carved in ancient valleys, natural springs with the best water possible, and its endemic species of flora (Laurissilva Forest) and fauna. After this great walk, we have a lunch break (not included) in a typical Madeiran restaurant in Paúl da Serra, the biggest plateau of the island at nearly 1500 m high with stunning views.
Later on, we go downhill through a wonderful off-road to the South Coast, where you can see beautiful beaches. Continuing by the coast, we go to Cabo Girão, known for its suspended glass floor viewpoint, which offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic, Câmara de Lobos, and Funchal. Then, to finish our tour, we drive through the oldest roads to Câmara de Lobos, an important fishing village in Madeira with interesting history and traditions.
